AQ Readiness · the free AI readiness assessment

What’s your AI personality?

Discover your readiness. Understand what comes next. Build toward business value.

AI is moving fast. But knowing what AI can do is not the same as knowing what your business should do with it.

AQ helps you understand where you stand, identify the gaps that matter, and determine the next steps toward a more intelligent, connected and value-producing organization.

Why AQ matters

AI investment is growing. But are you getting the value you expected?

Many organizations get stuck between experimentation and transformation. They have AI tools, pilots and individual initiatives, but not a clear answer to five questions:

The challenge isn’t simply adopting AI. It’s knowing how to turn AI into a connected, intelligent business capability that delivers measurable results.

01 · AQ Readiness

Start by understanding your AI personality.

AQ Readiness asks “Where are we, and what is holding us back?” It establishes your starting point: your current AQ stage, the stage your work needs, the gap between them, and the constraints most likely in the way. There are two ways to take it.

Your AQ is your stage, AQ0 to AQ5. The scores behind it show why. An individual score is one person’s perspective on the organization. It is not an organizational diagnosis; that takes several perspectives. What each stage means →

The team assessment

One organization. Different perspectives. One clearer starting point.

Transformation depends on more than the most AI-savvy executive, or the average of everyone’s scores. Leaders often see the same organization differently, and those differences become obstacles once execution starts. Leaders may disagree about:

ReadinessHow ready the organization really is.
InvestmentWhich opportunities deserve it.
CapabilitiesWhat already exists, and what does not.
ConstraintsWhich ones matter most.
PaceHow quickly the organization can change.
SuccessWhat a good outcome should look like.

The team report reads everyone’s answers with the same rules as the individual assessment, then shows what only a group can: which constraints most people’s answers support, where views split, and how leadership and operational views differ. The organizational diagnosis reports how many people support each finding rather than who; leadership and operational views are compared only when each group has at least three people; and the report owner can switch to anonymous labels when presenting.

How AQ works

From understanding your readiness to building business value.

Three connected steps, each answering one question. AQ Readiness is the starting point. The other two help you act on what you find.

  1. 01 · ReadinessAQ ReadinessWhere are we, and what is holding us back?Your stage, your target and the constraints in the way. Get your AQ score →
  2. 02 · WorkAQ Work IntelligenceWhere can AI create the most value?Task by task: what AI can take over, what it can assist, what should stay human. Rate a role →
  3. 03 · WorkforceAQ Workforce IntelligenceHow will work and people be affected?Which roles change, when, and where people can be redeployed. Map your workforce →
  4. DestinationAgentic intelligence, measurable valueHow do we connect people, knowledge, workflows and agents to deliver measurable value?A functioning, governed system where human judgment and AI agents work together.

This is a connected decision framework, not a mandatory sequence. Start with Readiness for the clearest picture, or go straight to the tool that matches the decision in front of you. Every tool has free results. AQ helps you decide what it takes to reach the destination; completing an assessment does not build or deploy that system. All tools →

Business value

What changes when you get it right?

These are outcomes organizations can work toward when the decisions are made well and then implemented. A score does not produce them on its own.

AQ never assumes the answer is more AI. A redesigned process, clearer ownership or better access to knowledge is often the right first move. Findings are labeled as reported, inferred or estimated, and the report says what to check.

The six maturity stages

What your AQ stage tells you

AQ0Knowledge is eroding. Critical expertise leaves with people. The organization is not ready to operationalize AI.
AQ1AI augments individuals. People use AI independently. Productivity gains remain personal and disconnected.
AQ2Teams share what works. Prompts and workflows spread across teams, but execution still depends on people.
AQ3Workflows connect. AI, people and systems execute proven workflows across team boundaries. The agentic gap begins to close
AQ4Knowledge becomes institutional. Governed workflows encode how the business operates, preserving and reusing expertise.
AQ5The system adapts. People and AI learn from outcomes and continuously improve how work gets done.

Not every organization needs AQ5. The assessment asks which stage your work needs within 24 months, and shows the gap from where you are today.

You don’t have to know the whole path today. You need to know where you stand and what to do next.

Start with your AQ score. If you’re leading an organization, bring your team into the process. Use what you learn to make better decisions about where to focus, what to change, and how to build toward measurable business value.
